French pianist Florian Caroubi’s debut at Teatru Manoel
French pianist Florian Caroubi will be performing for the first time in Malta in Teatru Manoel’s Sala Isouard on Thursday 18th October at 8pm in a concert produced in collaboration with the Festival "Jeunes Talents" of Montrond les Bains, France.
Passionate about music since his early childhood, Florian began his musical training as a guitarist and then studied the piano in Marseille, Aix en Provence. In 2011, he was admitted to the Conservatoire Supérieur National de MusiqueetDanse (CNSMD) in Lyon, one of the most prestigious French music schools.
He won the first prize at the national competition ’NuitsPianistiques’ in Aix-en-Provence in 2010 and the first prize at the international piano competition in Montrond-les-Bains in 2012. Heperforms regularly in very prestigious concert halls such as the ’Salle Molière’ in Lyon and plays at internationally renowned festivals such as ’Les NuitsPianistiques’ in Aix-en-Provence.
His eclectic musical activity has seen him perform in different countries and with reputed artists such as the violinist Pierre Hommage and the pianist EvelinaPitti. Florian is also a composer and accompanist.
In the first part of the programme Florian will performa juxtaposition between a very classically structured Mozart sonata and a late Beethoven sonata. The second part will explore some fully romantic works of Schumann and Chopin.
