Inauguration of the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ)
France, as a founding member state, was represented by its Ambassador Michel Vandepoorter at the inauguration of the IIJ, wednesday 18 June.
In his speech the Ambassador recalled that "the fight against terrorism has become, now more than ever, a priority for France.
By questioning the stability of our institutions and denying the humanistic values of tolerance, justice and freedom, terrorism seeks to place the rule of law itself at risk."
France is offering the Institute the expertise of the specialized services of our National School for the Judiciary, and French Ministry of Justice will actively participate on the governing board of administrators in order to achieve the objectives for which the Institute was created.
