Télémaque Ensemble of Marseille
Established in 1994, the Télémaque, under the direction of Raoul Lay, is dedicated to the creation and dissemination of contemporary musical pieces, developing many partnerships with other artists and focusing on the promotion of young composers (Alicia Diaz de la Fuente, Thierry Machuel, Alexandros Markeas, Jean-Luc Hervé, ...).
Télémaque have performed in concert throughout the best musical scenes in France and abroad. These include Festival d’Ile de France, Festival Appearances, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Madrid National Auditorium, Gaudeamus Music Week in Amsterdam, ...
Télémaque have also recently performed in Rio, formerly the Estaque Cinema, which was later converted into the Contemporary Instrumental Centre.
Born as a result of an encounter between three young musicians who were passionate about chamber music, the Elixir Trio was formed in 2007.
The ensemble, often working in collaboration with contemporary composers, were winners of the International Academy of Maurice Ravel of St Jean de Luz in 2008, the FNAPEC Competition in Paris in 2009 and finalists at the St Martin in the Fields chamber music competition in London in April 2010.
The quartet has performed in many French and international theatres, particularly within the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
