Linguistic and pedagogical scholarships 2016 - Call for applications [fr]

Every year, the Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action (Service de Coopération et d’Action Culturelle) at the Embassy of France in Malta offers scholarships to Maltese citizens. For anyone interested, these internships give one the opportunity to travel to France in order to perfect their knowledge of the French language and culture as well as improving their pedagogical and methodological skills in the teaching of French. The Embassy of France will also be covering many of the laureates’ expenses including residence and the internship itself but will not be funding their flights.


These internships are for a period of two weeks, held in July and August 2016. During their stay in France, cultural activities can also be offered in addition to their educational activities.

• LANGUAGE COURSES for intensive French classes for advanced and/or specialized students of French (preferably 2nd or 3rd year BA or BA (Hons) will be offered.

• TEACHER TRAINING for French teachers or future teachers completing their training (preferably in the final year of study: B.Ed / PGCE French) are also available. These grants allow recipients to take a crash course in French teaching techniques.

Choice of training centre: Applicants must indicate the accredited training centre of their choice on their application form after consulting their availability from the directory of French foreign language centres. This can be found on the CampusFrance website

Once completed, two copies of the application form are to be forwarded to the Embassy of France (130 Melita Street, Valletta) before 22 April 2016. Candidates who have been selected will be contacted by the Embassy of France for an interview.
