The French artist Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann at the BLITZ Gallery [fr]
As part of a residency program at the Blitz Gallery supported by the Valletta 2018 Foundation, the French artist Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann will present her artworks to the public on 2 and 3 November 2017, with the support of the French Embassy in Malta.
Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann was born in Paris and graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Art in Paris-Cergy.
She is the winner of the AWARE 2017 price (Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions). She joined the residency program of the Pavilion / Palais de Tokyo in 2011-12, and was also the laureate of the French Institute’s residency at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Japan, in 2016. Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann is currently presenting a solo show at the Allen Gallery (Paris).
She draws inspiration from architecture and design but also from cinema, literature and history.
During her residency at the Blitz Gallery, Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann proposes a two-part project, Anna’s Weekend : the creation of artworks as part of a workshop - hybrid and multifunctional furniture for the gallery - then the exhibition open to the public on 2 and 3 November 2017.
