French Ambassador’s visit to St. Clare College [fr]

To highlight her support for the teaching of French, Ambassador of France to Malta, Ms. Béatrice le Fraper du Hellen paid a visit to St Clare College in Pembroke. She was accompanied by the Cultural Counselor of the French Embassy, Mr Laurent Croset.

The Ambassador was warmly welcomed by the school’s management team and French teachers as well as many of the 140 pupils learning French at the school.

This visit was also an opportunity to offer French books to the College library. These were supplied by the Biblionef association, a partner of the Embassy. (Biblionef Operation – French Embassy in Malta on the association’s website).

The Embassy wishes to give special thanks to Ms. Doreen Farrugia, French Education Officer at the Junior College, responsible for the teaching of French and for organizing this visit.

In April, the Ambassador will be welcomed in Santa Tereza College in Mriehel by the principal Mr Robert N. Borg and head of French department Ms Ruth Bonello, member of the Association des Professeurs de Français de Malte (French Teachers’ Association).
