Visit to Malta of the Director of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Nathalie Loiseau – 6th and 7th October 2016
The Director of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Mrs. Nathalie Loiseau made on October 6th and 7 th of this year a visit in Malta during the last session of training of Maltese officials who will form teams of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union the first semester of 2017.
During this visit Mrs. Nathalie Loiseau met the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and the Parliamentary Secretary for European Affairs Ian Borg, who welcomed the success of the training and discussed the further cooperation with the ENA.
From May the 5th and the 7th October 2016, over 250 Maltese officials participated in these working groups, which were held in Valletta and Brussels. Many of them were present at a reception organized by the Maltese Ministry for European Affairs, in the presence of Mrs. Loiseau and The Ambassador of France in Malta, H.E. Beatrice Le Fraper du Hellen.
Mr. Ian Borg explained that “the manner in which our officials fulfil these responsibilities in the working parties will be an important factor in defining the quality and nature of the Maltese presidency”.
The Ambassador emphasized that the ENA cooperation with Malta would continue, particularly with the launch of the new Institute with the purpose of training officials in Malta which the Government has just announced.
